CDM 2015 is here
The new CDM Regulations finally came into force on 6 April 2015 with a transition period of six months for projects already underway and with that have come extensive new duties for Clients, Designers, Project Managers, (who take on the role of Principal Designer), and Contractors. And this will now include all domestic projects.
But don't worry, we can help.
Key to these changes is the transfer of duties currently carried out by the CDM C to Principal Designers, Clients and Contractors. The regulations are similar to the previous 2007 CDM Regs in that any member of the team can carry out the role of CDM PD, but they must be competent in H&S and be a designer as defined by the Regulations.

Our People
Keith Bruce Dip SM; MIIRSM
Keith is an occupational health and safety professional with a wide experience in the industrial and construction sectors.
In a former existence he was an RAF Armourer so is used to making risk assessments about things which really go bang as well as writing and assessing procedures which are workable in the field. After leaving the RAF he went to work in the corrugated packaging industry as a Safety and Technical Services Manager where he oversaw a number of multi-million pound development projects and implemented training, HR and ISO 9000 procedures.
Returning to his roots in construction, (his father was a plasterer), he joined the Practice in 2001 and has since completed many projects in the industrial, residential, education and food sectors, and provided training and support to a number of our Clients.
When not spending time with his grand daughter he likes nothing more than a West Ham game and a glass or two of red wine.
